Introduction to Music Therapy, led by Cayla Mendoza, offers tailored therapy for classical musicians. Our approach uniquely integrates classical music as a tool for therapy and self-therapy, providing support for musicians' mental well-being while addressing the specific demands of their profession.

About Cayla!

 Based in Los Angeles, California, Cayla F. Mendoza is pursuing a multifaceted educational journey, simultaneously studying Music Therapy and Psychology while honing her skills as a violinist at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. She currently studies with world-renowned violinist and conductor of the Henry Mancini Institute, Scott Flavin. Cayla has performed in masterclasses with Dr. Ambroise Aubrun, Dr. Chan Ho Yun, Dr. Hal Grossman, Linda Rose, and Chad Hoopes. She has performed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Dolby Theatre, Zipper Concert Hall, Adrienne Arsht Center, Skirball Cultural Center, and the Staples Center, now named the Crypto.com Arena, for the 62nd Grammys. Sharing her passion for music, Cayla often volunteers for Education Through Music-Los Angeles and her local church, Saint Mary Magdalene. Cayla's pursuit of a degree in neurologic-based music therapy reflects her deep commitment to using the power of music to promote healing and well-being. She understands the profound impact that music can have on individuals' physical and emotional health, and she aspires to make a positive difference in the lives of others through her work.
